Minerais São Vida

“The Briefcase Game” aims to raise awareness of the minerals and metals present in everyday objects, and demonstrate their importance in everyday life, using a powerpoint presentation, mineral samples and an educational video. Students will have the opportunity to learn, through concrete examples, the origin, importance and application of mineral resources. Understand how minerals are transformed into products essential to today’s quality of life, from their prospecting, through exploration and until their transformation into the products we use and consume. The presentation will end with interesting facts about mineral resources and their importance for the future. After the first contact with minerals, it will be time to consolidate learning, through online group play. The class is divided into small groups, up to 4 members, who together will try to obtain the maximum score, while simultaneously stimulating autonomy, critical thinking and sharing. This activity is carried out several times, throughout the academic years, and is promoted by the ACPMR team. The activity is limited to one class at a time and may occur more than once a day. A room with computers and video projection equipment will be required. It is also possible to schedule visits to farms, factories, universities and research centers belonging to the Association’s members. Promoting knowledge and sustainable economic development of mineral resources is one of the Cluster’s challenges. This initiative is seen as a fundamental contribution to the achievement of the Cluster’s vision, mission and objectives. The objective of this initiative is to ensure greater recognition and appreciation of the role of its members, as well as demonstrating the network developed by the Cluster with regard to cooperation between members. In this sense, this initiative adopted a set of guiding principles in favor of global communication. The initiative is clearly aligned with the Cluster’s mission, vision and strategic objectives, since communication (internal and external) is a factor in optimizing the work of the entire organization. The initiative consists of three publications. At the beginning of the week (Monday), a teaser will be released, announcing the member’s week. In the middle of the week (Wednesday), content will be published in GIF format, in which the member will be presented, consisting of an image, a video and some information about the member. Finally, at the end of the week (Friday), content entitled “Questions with Right Answers” will be published, in which members answer four questions about the Cluster and its importance. These publications will be carried out in coordination with members. In order to meet the defined objectives, in parallel with this initiative there is an annual planning for publications.
